Thanks Hugh.

It'll be interesting to see if any other carriers pick up left over capacity from Tiger's ADL-DPS flights, or if Jetstar add extra flights. Between Jetstar and Tiger, the load factors have been reasonable. Its been suggested that Batik and Garuda will pick up some demand in other markets, but nothing suggested for Adelaide as yet.

And good to see Cathay finally increasing (again)... The current flights have been running high loads for some time. Shame they haven't put the A350 onto Adelaide (wishful thinking).

Cheers

I flew with them in Dec and Jan and both in and outbound was 100% full.

Great news.

Seems to co-incide with the Fiji Monsoon season, so travel would be quiet during this period.

Fiji Airways in Northern winter 2017/18 season is adjusting Nadi – Adelaide route, reflected in recent schedule update. This route is scheduled to commence on 30JUN17 with 2 weekly flights, however this will be reduced to 1 weekly from 29OCT17. except 01DEC17 – 29JAN18. This route is subject to Government approval in NW17

FJ961 NAN1630 – 2010ADL 73H 1
FJ960 ADL2200 – 0545+1NAN 73H 1

Adelaide will get its 1st taste of a scheduled B787 of Air New Zealand on 28/7/17 when they upgrade the usual A320. This will also be used as a PR event for the permanent flights in October.

It looks like Jetstar is temporarily upping the number of flights to Bali with an extra 3 return flights each week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays over the next 3 months starting today. JQ131/132 becomes the flight number for the second flight of the day on those 3 days. This would make it 10 return flights each week if I have got my sums right. The new flights are morning departure and afternoon return which is much nicer than that horrendous overnight flight home. And on the days where there is only one flight, it looks like this one has been re-timed to morning departure. Not sure what's happening after September 30, anyone seen any announcement?
