Will they be allowed to break curfew and depart after 11pm if they are running late?

Sq Cargo and a few other airlines have been allowed to depart after curfew in the past. Im sure if the delay is minimal, the Ek flight will be allowed to depart.

Problem may be, it'd probably be a regular thing...unlike the sq flights.

I think 2 hours and 15 minutes is ample time to turn around a 777. Sure it may get delayed now and then but not every night. look at Sydney with all the international flights in there at night. How many of them get delayed , i bet you not many.

What the link to the EK announcement doesn't say is that from
01/02/2013 EK440 will be a daily service....Cheers Mark

Evening all,

There is a double page spread about Adelaide Airport in September's issue of Australian Avaiation, which I received in the mail today.

Chief Executive Mark Young talks about the progress of the airport and the future of the airport in temrs of airlines and infrastructure.

He states that now Emriates are starting services, which covers the middle East. THe airports next focus is China and South East Asia. He continues to mention that China is priority (In my opinion, We should be seeing China Southern here by this time or at the end of next year). There is also a compelling case for a direct Adelaide-Bangkok service.

Another remianing prospect is Garuda coming back, but still a long way off. Future aspirations is to centre on direct flights to the US and India.
