AirAsia X has outlined additional service increase for Northern Winter 2014/15 season. Latest service increase published in its schedule listing includes Adelaide and Nagoya.

Jetstar to cancel Adelaide - Auckland flights from August.

Jetstar Airways from 24AUG14 is cancelling Adelaide – Auckland service, where it currently operates 3 weekly flights with Airbus A320 aircraft. Existing schedule until 23AUG14 as follow.

Air Asia X look set to change their Adelaide schedules from 1/5/15. They will be reshuffling flights to introduce 2 night flights...

Could China Eastern be here in the near future?? or could Qantas restart Adelaide international services?

Hi all,

Virgin Australia will kick off flights from Adelaide to Alice Springs in March 2015 and is also planning a new regional lounge in the Red Centre for business class passengers plus Velocity Gold and Platinum members.

Services will run three times per week on a Boeing 737-800, with eight seats at the pointy end, 168 seats in economy and free wireless inflight entertainment for all guests.

Technically a re-start as Virgin Blue did operate the route from 31st October 2004- 8 September 2005.

Afternoon all,

Malaysia Airlines from August 9th are going to 4x flights a week to Adelaide. Monday, Thursday and Saturday flights are the days being cut.

I didn't realise that the updated narrowbodies (737MAX/A320neo) had such increased range.
737-MAX7 3700nm
A321LRneo 4000nm
A319neo 4200nm

Is there a good chance that the Australia-Asia market will soon be dominated by the above aircraft, and thus ADL will see more carriers, or is there an advantage to widebodies that I'm not seeing?

From December 2 2015, CX174 from Adelaide will run on Thursdays in addition to the previous Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday departures, leaving the South Australian capital at 7:45am to reach Hong Kong at 2pm.
On the return, CX173 gains a Wednesday flight to join frequencies on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, with a tweaked departure time of 7:05pm ahead of an arrival into Adelaide of 6:20am the following morning.
