Just arrived TSV, Omni Air International DC10. Call sign was 'Omni 690'

Was able to track it on the SBS-1 and it came from east, maybe from Honolulu way?

Hi Fly A330-300, CS-TMT inbound TSV at this time from Sydney as Aussie zero five six.

Martin, more than likely ASY056 will depart this evening for Darwin.

Cheers,

Dave.

Now have "Convoy 7982" inbound to Townsville. I think this is a US Navy 737 going by my SBS-1

30-Jul 19:07 AE04D8 165830 B737 CNV7181

I have no idea on where this aircraft has come from.

Cheers,

Dave.

ADB164F inbound Townsville from Singapore/Changi (the F in the callsign indicates a ferry flight).

The An-124 departed Townsville this morning and should arrive Cairns within next hour.

Cairns should be an interesting spot this week as it will host the Pacific Islands Forum - Kiwi 757, the An-124, our Envoy jets and whatever the rest of the members fly in with - PNG, FIJI, New Cal, etc...

But then we dont have any spotters in Cairns do we...so practically useless giving any heads up.

Cheers

Yeah Steve Bottom from Cairns often checks on here - We exchange emails and give heads up to one another from time to time.

You know how much stuff went through Cairns for TS09 alone and we got ZIPPO in terms of reports on this board!

Even asked him a question on one of the Cairns threads and got no response.

Not much fun if its a one way street.

Cheers

PS Maybe he was on holidays - cant blame him, lovely place Cairns!

As you can see Stefan P is a Die Hard lets see if Steve takes the bait!

Thanks for the info on the AN124 departure. I am away from home this week on a business trip through Rockhampton and Emerald, and I flew to Rocky on Monday afternoon on the direct TSV-ROK DJ E-Jet service and we taxiied right past the AN124 which was all locked up.

Cheers Dave,

If you happen to see the crew they invariably almost allways wear sandles - I have taken to calling these AN flights as "The Sandle Mob".

Obviously very comfy in the Tropics.
