Yes, they seem to be a steadily growing regional airline.

They are also operating a couple of mining charters out of TSV as well to Mt Isa & the Gunpowder Mine near ISA.

Thanks Lloyd - Yep saw a white dash 8 fly out of the 'Mont this morning then QQH was back flying out again tonight.

Do you or anyone else have any further info on the days and times of operation - no one really knows up here!

Also I have heard that CLermont 'Aerodrome' will get a full upgrade with a new terminal being built!

They have daily flights from TSV to CNS and CNS to CTN. If you want a fun ride, jump in one of the little planes (yes, I can feel you veteran jetspotters cringe from here) from CNS to CTN around Easter :-) Just make sure the vomit bags are handy :-)

Skytrans also operate VH-QQD here in Darwin on runs to Dili.

Has PDL Toll markings. Uses "Skytrans" as call sign.

Ha Ha Brendan - thats what most people ask - small country town 3 hours South West of Mackay - 4 hours West Noth West of Rocky - 1 hour North West of Emerald - does that do it?? We have one bog coal mine and about to start mining in another will full operations by 2010. Both mines operated by Rio Tinto who have stated that the new mine will employ very few locals - meaning that we will have a lot of fly-in staff!!! YAY!!

Yep Lloyd - only one Skytrans yesterday - QQH again - been told that we will get 5 services per week from Brisbane - 2xMonday, 1x Wednesday, possibly 2xFriday (not sure?).

Ostwald Bros Navajo VH-AYT was in last night as well and flew out today.

And a five hour drive from Townsville down via the Belyando Crossing which I will be doing Monday on my way to Emerald for the week on business.

I am in the Bowen Basin on a regular basis, and you are right Damian, there is plenty of activety going on around Clermont at the moment.
