The airline is "Virgin", but not allowed to use the name "Virgin" outside of Australia. Hence the two names.

It's a pathetic effort. All that money & time and they come up with a boring scheme like that! You wont even be able to see the flying lady or VA name at night

do you have proof of this? as all releases so far are showing as just Virgin Blue renamed to Virgin Australia.

I've changed my mind, I like it however, this story has huge hype. I have flown Virgin Blue twice, last month was the last one, and the seats are not good in the 738 for tall people but for an hour or so flight that is cool. But I will pay more to fly Brisbane Perth when I need to go over there next year, 5 hours on A330 sounds more appealing than 738.

Is that in the 738 with the new seats & interior though? Not sure if pitch has improved, but it certainly looks like a massive improvement over the old product....
