Rumour is nearly Fact

Word out of Avalon is that EBU will be prepared and ready for service very soon ...

Due to the late arrival of the A380 QANTAS have decided to put EBU back together and get her airworthy again ....

Keep your eyes on Avalon and watch it happen ....

Hi All,

If that is true, it will be really good to see her fly again. :D :D :D

I only hope I can get a photo of her this time, before her time is finally up and Qantas sells her.

Your joking right??????

That thing would be way beyond airworthy condition, its been sitting out with the sheep for months and months.

Would cost Qantas a fortune to get it back together, interior has been stripped then finding all the other parts etc that need to be done, well if they do get her back in the air that is one mammoth effort and alot of $$$$, but this is Qantas I guess, no wonder they are sending jobs offshore
My first shift back is on 12th out of Melbourne to Changi I think, i'll have to check again but it will be either on the LHR run on LA. bwhahahahahaha Im now LOLing more like on Holidays from your tip truck driving job

Hopefully the sitting eyesore remains sitting.

honestly the most ugly of all the painted special scheme.

the livery should be retired and left on print and on models.

find something new.

A triple would make sense, should be a few floating around on the market that can be taken with a lease. Operatiing costs should be lower, faster into service seeing EBU is just short of a rust bucket and QF could maybe fly the triple into an asian airport for maintenance (which some QF 74's are already getting away with  ) which also saves on costs.
