How do you do your contrast adjustments? Do you use Levels or Brightness/Contrast?

Ian,

I used to use Brightness/Contrast but have gone to the Levels function as its a bit more useful. Pretty basic user mind you.

Good stuff. All you need to do to fix the contrast is just drag the white and black sliders in a bit until they reach the end of the main histogram. I hope you don't mind but I made an example for you.

Getting the feeling there are some elitist pricks at Jetphotos.net ...

Dean I\'m going to be blunt...this photo is terrible, poor by all standards in-fact and that you\'re appealing this shot and comparing it to a recently accepted shot tells me you are not at all versed in photography. Thank you for wasting our time.

Screw 'em.

Dean,

Before you throw in the towel, have a look at some photos on jetphotos.net which have been accepted and you'll start to see the quality in which the jetphotos.net screeners are looking for. If you follow the same photo quality and guidelines, you'll get photos accepted. Listen to what the screeners tell you, they tell you whats wrong with your picture so that you can FIX it. Better luck next time.

Thanks guys, I'll keep working on it. Wasn't quite expecting the response received in the appeal so that probably didn't help my temper :)

Dean,

Compare your photos to the others from Brisbane and you will see where you went wrong.

Abusive emails to screeners don't help much either.

If you want help, all you have to do is ask here or go to the forums in JP and you will get help.

Thanks Stephen.

Thats what I get for buying cheap glass, and skimping on the post processing ;)

I did unfortunately send an abusive email in the heat of the moment, however it didn't take long to realise that was a stupid move. An apology was promptly sent to the screeners.

Just browsing through the JP forums now getting an idea of what the screeners are looking for ... cheers :)
