Seems that when Air Asia X start, is there going to be enough International gates in the mornings? Going to be busy between 10am and 11am.

Here is how I the set up on the days Air Asia X will be in Adelaide... Arrivials is ok. Departures will be OK, maybe a small congestion. It is good they spread SQ out to 1155 which will ease traffic a little.

Arrivals...

Malaysia Airlines: 0815- Bay 18
Virgin Australia: 0850 (Sunday's & Monday's), 0730 (Wednesday)- Bay 16
Singapore Airlines: 0920 - Bay 20
Air Asia X: 0945- Bay 22 (May go to bay 20 on days MH departs at 1500 as it will be towed away)
Air New Zealand: 1040 (operates all days except Wednesday) - Bay 16
Cathay Pacific: 1100 (Only affected if Air Asia is late and needs bay)- Bay 18 (will have to wait for Air Asia to depart if parked there)

Departures...

Virgin Australia: 0950 Bay 16
Malaysia Airlines: 1000 (Wednesday's, Friday, Saturday's in December and Janury, Sunday) - Bay 18, will get towed away on days it departs at 1500 and if Air Asia are here
Air Asia X: 1100- Bay 18 or 22 (18 mighte be used on days MH is towed away, otherwise gate 22 will be used)
Air New Zealand: 1140- Bay 16
Singapore Airlines: 1155- Bay 20
Cathay Pacific: 1220 (Not affecting Air Asia)- Bay 18

Given D7's poor ontime performance that might be an issue.

Don't know about other ports but all their flights to OOL are usually on-time or early.

On time performance for Air Asia X for the two months to mid July was 86%

Hardly say that is a "poor effort"

Garuda & Etihad are possibilities, but not for a few years. Scoot is a yes/no, maybe with Air Asia X coming here it might spark some interest. Air India, South African and Virgin Atlantic are no chance. Our next airline I think will definatly be a Chinese airline, most probably China Southern which might happen next year as they have been rumored to come here for a while. If airlines keep wanting morning time slots into Adelaide, then we won't be seeing some new airlines until more tarmac area is built.

Thanks, Stefan.

Hang on a tick, the schedule of D7246/7 goes to Feb 9 2014. What does this mean? The last flight to Adelaide, or just the flight times in the peroids :?: ? I have never seen this airline and the peroid goes to Feb 9 2014.

What about when daylight savings rolls in, when SQ leaves at 1240-1305?

Daylight savings is already in action when Air Asia X makes its 1st flight into Adelaide. From March 2013 you take off 1 hour to each of those arrival and departure times. The only airline which has a significant change in Winter months is Virign Australia to Bali. It will depart at 1240 from March to October.

Thanks, Stefan.

Did you notice my other post abut the peroids of the flight schedule? I would really want an answer, so I can see this plane:
